Center Overview: | The Dalian City Big Data Intelligent Processing and Multimodal Cognitive Computing Engineering Research Center boasts an excellent research team with a group of high-level academic leaders and young academic backbones. Currently, there are 40 permanent staff members. The center is headed by Professor Qiang Zhang, who is a Changjiang Scholar appointed by the Ministry of Education, a participant in the national "New Century Millions of Talents Project," and a recipient of the National Distinguished Young Scientist Fund. Additionally, the center includes Professor Xiaopeng Wei, a reserve candidate for academician in Liaoning Province; Professor Baocai Yin and Professor Huchuan Lu, both recipients of the National Distinguished Young Scientist Fund; and a group of research backbones recognized in Liaoning Province and Dalian City. With an outstanding talent pool, the center focuses on the international academic frontier of artificial intelligence and the strategic needs of the nation. It revolves around the core theme of "big data intelligent processing and multimodal cognitive computing." The center aims to explore new methods and technologies in Artificial Intelligence through theoretical breakthroughs in neural computing, bioinformatics, and other areas. Furthermore, it seeks to integrate and intersect with industrial applications, with primary research directions including new methods of Artificial Intelligence based on bioinformatics, multimodal cognitive technology for human-machine-environment interactions, big data intelligent analysis theory and technology, and smart healthcare and education. |
